Viewer Access Satellite Television service otherwise known as VAST. The VAST service will change the way we watch TV especially for those living in poor reception areas and in remote regions as well as travelers where the only services to date have been ABC, SBS, Imparja and Seven Central. The VAST service will provide the same number of channels that are currently available in metropolitan areas: programs from the Seven, Nine and Ten networks and the national broadcasters’ main channels, ABC1 and SBS ONE, along with digital channels ABC2, ABC3, ABC NEWS 24 HD, SBS TWO, 7TWO, GO!, GEM, ELEVEN and ONE HD. Regional news feeds are also available so you can watch news and weather that is more relevant to your area.
VAST is currently available to those living in the TV1 Remote Central and Eastern License Area as well as regional SA and VIC. VAST is also available to those living outside the TV1 License area who are in a TV black spot and have been granted special permission for Optus Aurora.
